
Chau Ly
Director of Human Resources
Ms. Chau Ly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies from Mount Holyoke College and a Masters in Public Administration from Northeastern University in Massachusetts. Ms. Ly has had a diverse career in the education, business and non-profit sectors. Within the education sector, she has held development roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brown University in Providence where she managed alumni donor relationships and secured over $1.5 million for academic programs. As the Program Manager for Statewide and Community Support at the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), she managed a $50 million US Department of Education grant and ensured effective implementation of 52 complex project activities through budget monitoring, coordination of 7 project staff and reporting on early education programming. While at EEC, she also oversaw special projects such as the development of social-emotional learning curriculum standards for early childhood which were implemented statewide and the management Board committees and government inter-agency policy working groups. Ms. Ly has worked as a consultant for the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Boston College School of Education.
Her private sector experiences include working at a management consulting company, Expense Management Solutions, Inc. and at an internet start-up company called GotoHR, LLC which provided comprehensive HR services to technology start up companies in the Boston area. Her nonprofit experience encompasses youth development work at local community based organizations (the Vietnamese American Civic Association and the East Boston Social Centers), and fundraising at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley where she raised over $11 million for at-risk families.
She is passionate about community service and volunteering. She has volunteered at UNICEF in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam,served as a Peace Corps Volunteer at a local non-governmental organization in the country of Georgia, and was a member on the Board of Trustees of Mount Holyoke College. She is delighted to share her skills and experience with the Zuni Public School District and work collaboratively with staff, faculty, parents, and community members to support the success of Zuni students in and outside of school. Ms. Ly enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling, meditating and volunteering.
