Our children must learn to be successful in both traditional Zuni life and the dominant non-Zuni world. Due to the unique demands of Pueblo life, students are expected to meet the same standards as all other students in New Mexico when they have additional requirements from the community.
For example, at various times throughout the school year, a majority of our students are expected to participate in traditional dances, which last late in the night or early in the morning, and must still be in attendance at school the next day.
